I started playing Spyro 2 again the past couple days. And the notion of coming back "later" to save the baby turtles was indeed disconcerting. Along with the fact that you are killing the citizens of Zephyr in Breeze Harbor and vice versa. And that you help both sides of the Zephyr/Breeze Harbor War continue to kill each other.
And that in Scorch, Handel and Greta may possibly be the actual bad guys. Because they are invading another country, and the enemies you are killing are the citizens trying to defend it. Plus, Handel and Greta are obviously white, possibly German. And the "enemies" in Scorch seem to be of Arabic decent. After making these connections, I was all like, "Is Spyro portraying western governments taking selfish initiative in Middle Eastern countries, bringing violence and suffering, while masquerading as the heroes?" Maybe I'm reading too deep into it, but seriously. Spyro, why you so secretly disturbing????
glad to hear you've enjoyed it ! and YES,those eerie memories come swelling back even tho I can beat it easily now...brrr same goes with that ''save the cavemen'' sidequest...the second one in particular..omg and the crystal popcorn frustrations
Egads, yes. And the hockey. I HATE the hockey. :[ And the trolley. Annyyway. Most of the sidequests are just horrible. Some are fun, though, like the skateboarding in Year of the Dragon. I used to love that so much. It's still kind of weird, though. Is he propelling himself with his wings or feet?
This is brilliant! I always questioned the climbing ability playing Ripto's rage. (And why can't those turtles just levitate themselves up the ladder?) If you do another one of these Spyro comics, you should consider the trolley trouble side mission in Breeze harbor.
Oh my god...the level of impending doom just gets higher and higher until....you know. It's like the tune that plays when you're drowning in the old Sonic games! It really stresses you out! Reading your comics always cheer me up . Keep up the good work!
Cubone and Shadow Yeah, I get it. The facial expressions are hilarious! Especially Spyro's "derp"-face in 10th panel. But actually I didn't like that mini-game, I felt so sad about those poor baby turtles! :< And it's silly that Spyro has to learn how to climb when he already could climb in the first game. What, he's got amnesia? XD
